About the SAT timer

The new digital SAT (since March 2024) is 2 hours 14 minutes — Reading & Writing 64 min, Math 70 min. Adaptive: second module of each section adjusts difficulty based on first module.

Benefits

  • ·Practice with exact timing builds pacing instinct
  • ·Reduces test-day surprises
  • ·Identifies time-pressure weak points
  • ·Simulates digital format conditions
  • ·Builds endurance for 2+ hour test

How it works

Reading & Writing: 32 min Module 1, 32 min Module 2 (adaptive). 10-min break. Math: 35 min Module 1, 35 min Module 2 (adaptive). All on digital Bluebook app — practice with same setup.

The digital SAT replaced the paper test in March 2024 worldwide. Total test 2h 14m (down from 3h on paper). Adaptive testing means the second module is different difficulty based on first module performance.

Who uses the SAT timer
